Our Goal
The goal of Asbury House a Colorado 501 c 3 charity is to raise the funds necessary to purchase our first treatment facility in Fort Collins for women. We plan to provide quality and competent extended care treatment for women who suffer from substance use disorders (SUD's) and the co-occurring mental health and/or trauma disorders that often accompany the illness of addiction. Fort Collins has no residential treatment services for women, we are working to close this critical service gap in our community.
What We Will Offer Our Residential Clients
Our clients will receive world class treatment in a holistic, safe, and nurturing environment where we will promote a sense of community, provide individual therapy, group therapy, competent assessment, 12-Step based education, case management, sustainable nutritional health education and integrated fitness programs.
Our Treatment Program
Our treatment program focuses on the whole person that includes issues related to mind, body and spirit. To accomplish this we utilize evidence based practice as well as accepted standards of alternative holistic healing approaches. We see our clients as partners in their recovery who are empowered to participate in the decision making process concerning their treatment. Each individual is unique and as a result we work with the client to determine their individualized treatment needs.
What Makes Us Special
Our program is designed as extended care as we have found this an essential component of success to treat drug and alcohol addiction in addition to the underlying mental health and trauma issues that have contributed to substance abuse and or substance dependency in women.
Our Mission
The mission of Asbury House is to provide a safe, holistic, and healthy physical environment where women are empowered to collaboratively develop their healing process keeping in mind their relationships with their families, communities, and environments, so that they are able to make more meaningful choices and achieve successful relationships, life goals, and economic productivity on their chosen paths.
Community Based Grass Roots Effort
We are building this program as there are no services in our community that address this need. As a result there has been a critical service gap in this treatment area. We are asking our community to help us resolve this service gap.
